What to Expect at a Veterinary Appointment
Knowing what to expect at your first appointment, will help you to make the process more pleasant for both you and your pet.
STEP 1
Get Settled
Please make sure to arrive about 10 minutes before the start of your appointment to give yourself time to fill out our New Patient Form. To save time, you can complete the New Patient Form online in advance.
STEP 2
Meet Your Veterinarian
A member of our team will walk through your pet's medical history and discuss any pre-existing health issues they might have. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions you want and receive an answer.
STEP 3
Examination, Diagnosis & Treatment
After your pet has been assessed, we will provide you with a diagnosis and lay out the options you have for treatment. Your vet will work with you to determine what the best option for you and your pet is.

- What types of payment options are available?
Payment in full is expected at the time services are provided or upon discharge of your pet. We accept payment by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
- Are there payment plans available for my pet’s care?
We are happy to offer CareCredit as a financing option for all of our patients. this involves an easy application process which can give you results in minutes.
- Will I be provided with an estimate of costs?
We will provide an estimate of the cost of our services prior to treating your pet in good faith. However, unforeseen circumstances may arise that impact your final bill.
Before our clients leave our facility, we will always discuss our written estimate to ensure we are on the same page, and will require a deposit based on this estimate before we will provide treatment.
- Should I call ahead to book an appointment?
We encourage all of our clients to call ahead to book an appointment with us and make sure we have room in our schedule.
In the event that your pet need urgent care during our regular business hours, please contact us right away.
- What is your appointment cancellation policy?
If you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible . This way, we will be able to offer the space in our schedule to other clients and reschedule your appointment quickly.
- What types of animals do you treat?
We provide veterinary care for smaller domestic pets like dogs and cats.
- Where can I purchase my pet's prescription and food?
You can purchase all the medications and specialty food your pet needs either via our online store or our in-house pharmacy.
- What are the fees associated with a specialty appointment?
You are financially responsible for the initial examination fee and any diagnostics or treatment that you consent to for your pet’s treatment. This payment is due at the time of service.
Any further surgery, diagnostics, or hospitalizations will require a deposit upfront with full payment due when your pet is discharged.
- What are the fees associated with an emergency visit?
We require a deposit for all emergency examinations. Once staff and doctors have had a chance to examine your pet, we will provide you with an estimate for treatment.
If further hospitalization, diagnostics or surgery are required, a deposit is required upfront, with payment in full due when your pet is discharged.
- Can you help with my pet insurance?
We are happy to help you will out any pet insurance forms you might need during your visit to our hospital.
